Mr. Butler, "What's better: one or two? Can you write a song about that?? It was a pleasure meeting and working with you this afternoon. I am so impressed by the work you have done. Some of the greatest recording that I have enjoyed throughout my life with some of the greatest musicians of their generations. Thanks for the wonderful gifts you have provided me and countless others. Sincerely, Michael D. Kohn

Unfortunately, we’ve never met although we’ve been in the music business at the same time and often in the same city. My name is Carol Lawrence, and this is the 50th anniversary of my opening at the Winter Garden Theater in “West Side Story”, as Maria. Needless to say, I’ve loved your incredible contribution to some of my favorites and the greatest hits of all time!!! The saddest thing of all is that arrangers, composers, and “dreamers” seldom get the credit and applause that the lucky singer gets by default. I apologize to you on behalf of the entire public who have laughed and cried because you are so talented and generous ! A friend of mine amazes me with her compassion and understanding. I merely told her a few of MY current dreams and projects, all of them musical; and she suggested I “Google” you. I have been crying ever since I started listening to the selections. I absolutely ADORE “Here's to Life,” and would love to close my new act with it. Might you have time to arrange it for me? It would truly be a gift from God and an honor. I hope to hear from you soon. Your biggest fan, Carol Lawrence

Artie Butler: the name echoed through the streets and through our heads back i 1969 when I worked with Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller. You have made the world a better place with your music and your passion. Bless you for what you have given us and for "Sally Go Round the Roses" alone, you will be eternally remembered. I use your arrangements as teaching models for hopeful students in Denmark. Keep on loving the music. The world could use more people like you.

Artie, I can't tell you how much fun I had going through your site. You are a very blessed man. Many years ago I informed my wife that "What A Wonderful World" was going to be her song, because it represents her views perfectly. Every time we hear it, we stop to ponder the moment and feel our love for each other. I am proud to say that I will be part of LAUGHING MATTERS and do hope I have the privilege of meeting you and thanking you personally for your great contributions. That would be truly Wonderful.
